The National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE) has declared a monetary help of ₹4 crore to around 40 agri start-ups.
The grant is being provided under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana - Remunerative Approaches for Agriculture and Allied Sector Rejuvenation (RKVY-RAFTAAR)’s Innovation and Agri-entrepreneurship Development.
"The point of this program is to advance development and agripreneurship by offering monetary help and supporting the brooding environment," a MANAGE representative said.
The new businesses cover a wide scope of zones, for example, agro-preparing, food innovation, value expansion, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, advanced horticulture and organic cultivation.
"These new companies are tending to many difficulties faced all over the agrarian value chain. These start-ups have arisen as a missing connection between the farmers, vendors, wholesalers, retailers and purchasers," he said. The selected new companies were prepared and trained for a time period of 2 months at the Center for Innovation and Agripreneurship (CIA) at MAANGE in different aspects of maintaining and functioning of the businesses.
