Krishi Yono App: Now Farmers Can Easily Buy Seeds Online through This App

The Indian Institute of Horticultural Research has launched the country's first seed portal, where farmers from all over the country can ask for seeds of 60 horticultural crops sitting at home after making online payments.

In this digital era where every transaction, connection and communication can be controlled digitally, now it's farmer's turn to go digital. Digitalization can make farmer's work easier and convenient to a great extent. According to reports, farmers will be able to buy authenticated seeds easily online through this App. For this, they just have to pay online.

The Indian Institute of Horticultural Research has launched the country's first seed portal, where farmers from all over the country can ask for seeds of 60 horticultural crops sitting at home after making online payments.

Yono Krishi App Launched

India's first ever 'Seed Portal' has been integrated with State Bank of India's 'Yono Krishi App', launched by Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Narendra Singh Tomar. With the integration of the app, crores of farmers of the country will be able to digitally take benefits of government schemes and facilities of the bank, including the purchase of seeds.

What Kind of Seeds will be available on 'Krishi Yono App'?

Tomatoes, onions, okra, brinjal, chilli, hybrid chilli, watermelon, melon, capsicum, radish, cowpea, peas, beans, amaranth, spinach, coriander, french beans, seeds can be ordered through the portal.

Union Minister Tomar said in the program, "The field of agriculture has been challenging, despite this, due to the tireless work of farmers and research of scientists and the policies of the government, this region holds the most important position in the country. Along with fulfilling the food requirements of the country, agriculture is also important from the point of view of contributing to the GDP, so the government, including

The Prime Minister also emphasized to increase production, as well as to extend government help to every village and all the farmers, so that no one can take the rights of the farmers, for this, the Government has been insisting on Digital India. The motive behind this is that there should be transparency in the agriculture sector and corruption opportunities should be completely closed.

The Agriculture Minister further said, "Wherever technology is used, there is a huge benefit reaching the rural sector, in which banks have a huge contribution and SBI also plays an important role.
