Kisan Credit Card or KCC is an initiative by the Indian Government to ensure that farmers of the country have access to credit at a reasonable rate. The scheme was introduced in August 1998 and was based on the recommendations of a special committee formed for inputs on loans & agricultural welfare.
However, even after 22 years, only 58 percent farmers are availing this scheme. Around 42 per cent of the farmers are out of this special loan scheme. Let's know how every farmer can get the access of KCC.
Recently, the government has announced that farmers will also be able to purchase loan amount tractors and other agricultural equipment available under the Kisan Credit Card.
Govt has Extended the Benefits of KCC
Kisan Credit Card Yojana KCC was launched to provide loans to farmers at low interest rates. But still about 42 percent of the farmers have not joined this scheme. Recently, the Central Government has extended the benefit of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan Yojana) to all those farmers.
Kisan Credit Card Scheme will now be added to cattle farmers and fishermen too which will provide guaranteed free loan. Under this Kisan Credit Card Yojana, about 14 crore farmers of the country will be given insurance guarantee loans.
Kisan Credit Card New Update

Therefore, to give relief to the people institutions of the country, RBI has announced a moratorium on the next three months on all debt redemption. Therefore, the debt of all the farmers who have taken the loan against it will be covered under this corona relief package.
Benefits of Kisan Credit Card
All the farmers can avail the benefit of this scheme. Under the Kisan Credit Card Scheme 2020, the benefits will be provided to all the farmers connected under the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. The farmers of the country will be provided a loan of 1 lakh 60 thousand rupees through this credit card by the central government. The benefit of this scheme will be made available to 14 crore farmers of the country.
How to Apply for Kisan Credit Card Online?
To get a Kisan Credit Card, first go to the official website of PM Kisan Yojana
Then download Kisan Credit Card (KCC) form from there.Fill all the Important information in the form like - land, crop details etc.
After that fill all the details and deposit in your nearest bank branch.
How to Get Kisan Credit Card Offline?
If the farmer wants to apply offline for Kisan Credit Card, then the farmer will have to go to his nearest bank branch with all his documents.
However, you have to take the application form of Kisan Credit Card Yojana from the bank officer there. After taking the application form, you will have to fill in the requested information in the form. After filling all the information, you have to attach all your documents with the application form and submit it to the bank official. After verifying your application, you will be given the Kisan Credit card within a few days.
