The ICAR-National Research Centre for Banana in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu had conducted a National Webinar on “Integrated Farming System (I.F.S.)” last week.
Dr. N. Ravisankar, Principal Scientist and Project Coordinator, All India Coordinated Research Project on I.F.S., Coordination Unit, ICAR-IIFSR, Modipuram, Meerut in Uttar Pradesh talked about “Sustainable Integrated Cropping & Farming System Models with Special Reference to Banana for Enhanced Income of Farmers”.
Dr. S. Uma, Director of ICAR-NRC on Banana, Tiruchirappalli in her address underlined the importance of Banana based Integrated Farming System for increasing the income of farmers.
It is important to mention that the Webinar was organized as a part of the “Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav” to celebrate the 75th Year of India’s Independence. As many as 1,000 people took part in the webinar.
