For this, up to 80 percent subsidy will be given by the government. Custom Hiring Center is the name of this scheme. We can call it agricultural machinery bank. An official associated with the scheme told that the farmer will get many options in which he can buy the machine on rent according to which center he wants.
This app is exactly the same as Ola, Uber and will be available between 5 and 50 kilometers. VN Kale Additional Commissioner of the Division of Technology and Technology in the Ministry told that the government is not deciding the cost of the machinery. If there is huge competition in the market, then the farmer will get cheap and good service. If you have only one agricultural machine, you can still get it registered in the app for rent.
If you build a private custom hiring center, then the government will provide 40 percent of the money. A project worth up to Rs.60 lakh can be passed, i.e according to the need of the farmers of their area, they can buy such amount of machines. In this project, government assistance of 24 lakh rupees will be available. Whereas if you prepare machine bank by forming a cooperative group then there should be 6 to 8 farmers in the group. In this project up to Rs.10 lakh will be passed. That is, you will get government assistance of up to 8 lakh rupees. To avail the subsidy, the farmer can contact the Engineering Division of the Agriculture Department of their respective states.
