The Central government has launched a monthly pension for farmers known as Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana. Under this scheme, the government provides a minimum fixed pension of Rs 3,000 /month to the eligible small and marginal farmers.
The best thing is that farmers who have already registered for PM Kisan Yojana will not have to apply separately for PM Maandhan Yojana.
Objective of PM Maandhan Yojana
The main objective of PM Maan Dhan Yojana is to provide social security to the Small & Marginal Farmers (SMF) by way of pension. This will make their life easy during old age. Farmers after 60 years of age are not able to earn much hence this pension scheme will provide them fixed amount every month.
Eligibility and Other Details

PM Maan Dhan Yojana is a voluntary & contributory pension scheme.

The entry age to avail the benefit of this pension scheme is between 18 - 40 years.

The eligible farmers will have to contribute between Rs 55 to Rs 200 / month (in the Pension Fund) depending on the entry age.

They will start receiving the money on attaining the age of 60 years.

The Central Government will also make equal contribution to the Pension Fund.
How to Register
For registration, the farmer will have to visit the nearest Common Service Center (CSC) or the Nodal Officer (PM-Kisan Scheme) nominated by the State or UT Governments.
The farmers can also apply themselves through the official website of PM Kisan scheme - www.pmkmy.gov.in.
No Fees
Officials of the Ministry of Agriculture have made it clear that there will be no fees to register for PM-KMY. And if a farmer is already getting the benefit of PM-Kisan Yojana then he will not have to submit separate documents for this pension yojana.
About PM-Kisan Scheme
PM-kisan is a Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) Scheme in which all the farmers across the country is given financial assistance of Rs 6,000 / year. The amount is given in three installments.
