Good News for Farmers! Govt is Offering 50 to 90% Subsidy for Horticulture; Apply Now

under the Chief Minister’s Horticulture Mission, the target of various schemes has been set. The special thing to note is that there is a provision for giving separate subsidy to general caste and scheduled caste farmers.

The Bihar Government has taken an important initiative to promote horticulture. The state government has announced to give subsidy to the farmers doing horticulture in Motihari district.

Farmers doing horticulture in the state will get the benefit of subsidy under the Chief Minister’s Horticulture Mission. Under this, the target of various schemes has been set. The special thing to note is that there is a provision for giving separate subsidy to general caste and scheduled caste farmers.

Let’s know how you can take the advantage of this subsidy.

Subsidy will be Given on these Crops under the Chief Minister Horticulture Mission, arrangements have been made to provide subsidy on mushroom, aromatic plant cultivation, floriculture, bee box, bee colony, plastic carat, and plastic tunnels, etc. General caste farmers will be given a subsidy of up to 70 percent. Along with this, SC and ST farmers will get a maximum subsidy of up to 90 percent.

How much Subsidy will be Given?

Up to 50 percent subsidy will be given on flower cultivation. If the cost of flower cultivation is 40 thousand rupees per hectare, then farmers will get a subsidy of up to 20 thousand rupees. Farmers can plant about 36 thousand flower plants in 1 hectare.

For bee keeping, up to 75 percent subsidy will be given on the box of bee keeping. Farmers will get the subsidy of up to 3 thousand out of the 4 thousand rupees spent on each box.

If the cost of cultivation of aromatic plants is Rs. 40 thousand, then the state government will give the subsidy at the rate of Rs. 20 thousand per hectare.

And apart from all this, a provision has been made to give subsidy on plastic carats to the farmers. Farmers can avail the subsidy on the cultivation of selected crops under the Chief Minister’s Horticulture Mission Scheme.

Procedure to Take Subsidy

For availing this scheme, farmers have to contact the Block Horticulture Office or District Horticulture Office. Note that, farmers need to register on the DBT portal to take advantage of selected schemes. Farmers will be given the benefits of the scheme on first come first serve basis.
