Good News for farmers: Central government will soon deposit Rs 2,000 in the accounts of farmers under its most popular and beneficial scheme - PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana also known as PM-Kisan. Modi government had launched the scheme for farmers last year (2019).
Under PM-Kisan yojana, an income support of Rs 6,000 per year is given to all small and marginal farmer families across India in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each. The Centre deposits the amount in their bank accounts of farmers in three installments. The first installment is sent between December and March, the second is given between April and July & the third is disbursed between August and November.
The Centre gives income support to farmers having cultivable land and those working in sectors linked to agriculture. However, landless labourers are not given benefits under this scheme.
Modi government had disbursed the sixth installment in the month of August and now it will release the seventh installment of PM-Kisan scheme. The money is expected to be credited to the bank account of farmers by the end of this month. As per Agriculture Ministry, around 11 crore farmers have been benefitted from PM-Kisan scheme so far.
The Centre maintains the data of beneficiaries under the scheme. The list of PM-Kisan beneficiaries is available on the official government website - pmkisan.gov.in. The seventh list is also available on the portal. While checking the status if you see 'FTO is generated & Payment confirmation is pending’ written next to your name then it means the process to transfer money has been started & soon it will be credited to your account.
