If you are a farmer and want to take benefit of government’s ambitious Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi yojana that offers Rs 6000 per year then immediately link your Aadhaar card with it. As per latest reports, farmers of Assam, Meghalaya Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh will have to get their Aadhaar cards linked to avail the benefits of PM-Kisan scheme by 31st March 2020. If they don’t do so then they won’t get PM-Kisan money.
So hurry up as only 15 days are left to link your Aadhaar card. The government took this decision mainly for the farmers of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Assam and Meghalaya whereas, in the remaining states of India, Aadhaar has been made mandatory from 1st December 2019.
How many farmers have received money so far?
According to the Agriculture Ministry, 7, 91,245 farmer families of Jammu and Kashmir have received the three installments of the PM-Kisan scheme. In the second phase, the first installment of Rs. 2000 has been received by 5,75,202 farmers.
Similarly, in Assam, 19, 97,844 farmers have got all the three installments of Rs. 2000 each while 9, 53,609 farmers have received the first installment money in the second phase.
In Meghalaya, a total of 36,951 farmers have got the third installment while 24,665 farmers got the first or second installment of the second phase of PM-Kisan scheme.
If we talk about farmers in the entire country then, out of 14.5 crore farmer families, only 6.44 crore have got the third installment of PM-Kisan yojana.
Why so many farmers did not get PM-Kisan money?
More than half of the farmers in India haven’t received the PM-Kisan money due to incorrect documents and aadhaar verification. In such a situation, those who have not received money should get their Aadhaar linked on time otherwise they will not get the benefit.

In order to link aadhaar card, you will have to go to your bank with the original aadhaar card along with a photocopy of it. Then ask the concerned bank official to link the account with their Aadhaar so that you can continue to get PM-Kisan benefits.
Last date to link aadhaar with PM-Kisan scheme is 31st March for all the states mentioned above.
