Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that paddy will be procured at a support price beginning November 1. "I've asked officials to prepare for paddy procurement; we're fully prepared and will begin procuring it on November 1," he said.

The state is in the process of registering new farmers for paddy procurement, which will last until October 31, 2022. The state government anticipates increased procurement in the state "given the better condition of paddy crops" than last year.
It goes on to say that the Chief Minister has waived agricultural loans totaling Rs 9,270 crores for 17.82 lakh farmers in the state, as well as irrigation taxes totaling Rs 325 crore, and has provided free and subsidised electricity to over 5 lakh farmers, totaling Rs 900 crore in annual relief. "In the state, the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana has increased crop productivity and crop diversification."
Farmers are helped with the cost of agriculture through this scheme, which provides input subsidies. Under this scheme, farmers have received direct assistance totaling Rs 14,665 crore over the last two years. According to the statement, "90% of the farmers who benefited from this scheme are from small marginal farmers, scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, backward classes, and poor sections."
