The chief minister stated at a gathering on Monday during the launch of the 'Uttar Pradesh Mango Mahotsav-2022' in Lucknow that mangoes grown in this mammoth cluster will be recognized as the 'Kakori brand.'
"Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's supervision, the Central government has sanctioned a massive cluster of mangoes in Lucknow, on which 100 crores would be invested over the next five years," Adityanath added.
The chief minister further stated that the mangoes in this cluster will be recognized as the 'Kakori brand,' as a real tribute to Kakori's great warriors as part of the 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.'
Earlier, the chief minister went to a mango exhibition hosted by the Horticulture and Food Processing Department. According to an official statement, he also unveiled the Lucknow Mango Festival Souvenir-2022 and congratulated the state's innovative growers.
Surya Pratap Shahi, the Agriculture Minister of Uttar Pradesh, and Dinesh Pratap Singh, the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Horticulture, were also in attendance. The Uttar Pradesh Mango Mahotsav, which was launched by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, will come to an end on July 7.
The event is being planned to enhance mango output and farmer revenue by bringing together many stakeholders on a single platform. During the event, farmers will also learn about marketing tactics.
According to an official, shifting weather patterns have had an impact on mango production throughout the world, and bringing stakeholders together can assist overcome such issues.
India accounts for at least 65 percent of global mango output (20.4 million tonnes). UP produces 22 percent of the country's total mangoes, thanks to mango belts across 13 districts (4.5 million tonnes).
