Andhra Government will provide 10,750 hiring centres around the state as a boost to its agriculture sector. With a cost of 2,133.75 crore these recruitment centres will be joined with Rythu Bharosa Kendras.
The state government will also put up 175 high tech hubs in every constituency. This programme is carried out under YSR Farm Mechanisation Service Scheme in order to supply agricultural tools to farmhands. The agricultural tools provided through the scheme are tractors, harvesters, sprayers and other equipments used for cultivation and harvesting.
The farmers are classified into small groups consisting five members in each will be given with 40 percent subsidy, 50 per cent bank loan and 10 percent as their group’s share. As the Community Hiring Centres (CHCs) are attaching to Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBKs), the government has decided to organise cooperative societies. The government will grant subsidy for hiring machines and the farmers can buy sophisticated equipments at a minimal price in the scheme.
The state government also decided to 11,035 cluster- level combined harvester CHCs in East and West Godavari, Krishna and Guntur districts.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy forwards this scheme to set up advanced agricultural amenities without extra investments, administration load to small and marginal farmers.
The Chief Minister three days ago had directed agricultural officers and other related officials to ensure good returns to the farmers with reasonable prices. He told the officials to instigate market intervention measures, if they find farmers are suffering in the market without reasoned prices. The CM also instructed them to utilise Price Stabilization Funds effectively in favour of the farmers.
It is decided to set up 3,250 CHCs by September 30 and 2,520 centres have been so far completed spending Rs. 98.8 crore. The state government extending hands to farmers with various welfare schemes and agricultural measures hereby facilitates mechanisation in agriculture which don not demand additional investments.
