India records excellent growth in Agricultural Exports
Commerce Minister, Dr. Anup Wadhawan said that India has recorded an excellent growth in the Agricultural exports during 2020 to 2021. The export of agriculture and allied products jumped to USD 41.25 billion indicating an increase of 17.34%. In INR terms, and the increase is 22.62% with exports during 2020-21 amounting to Rs. 3.05 lakh crore as compared to Rs. 2.49 lakh crore during the year 2019-20.

BKU leader met CM of West Bengal regarding the ongoing farmers protest
Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Rakesh Tikait met the Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee along with other farmers regarding the ongoing farmers protest against the three farm laws. After the meeting, the Chief Minister assured the full support to the movement and said the west Bengal government should work as a model state and provide benefits to farmers.

Farmers begin paddy cultivation in Dakshin Kannada
With the arrival of monsoon in the districts of Dakshin Kannada, farmers have started the paddy cultivation. The agriculture department has set a target to cultivate 11,070 hectares of land during the kharif season and to cultivate 10,260 hectares of paddy.

Delhi Police steps up security deployment at borders
On Thursday, Delhi Police got the intelligence information that around 50,000 farmers are planning to enter into the National Capital. After getting the information the Delhi Police have stepped up security deployment at all the border points, which is connecting to the neighboring states of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.

The United States, Department of Agriculture announces it’s plans to invest more than $4 billion to strengthen the critical supply of chains through the Build Back Better initiative and this new effort from the U.S Department of Agriculture will strengthen the food system and it will also create new opportunities to help the communities and to tackle the climate crisis.
