Thunderstorms with lightening with fast winds are expected today, over West Bengal and North East states. Rainfall is expected to follow it till 12th April.

Cleaning river Ganga
Clean Ganga Fund has received over Rs 450 crores in donation from individuals and organizations, both private and public. Citizens are showing their enthusiasm in cleaning the river by contributing to the fund. These funds are being used in projects to clean the river.

Multi-feed millet dehuller simplifies life for Dehradun farmers
Processed millet can be used to produce biscuits, breakfast cereals and snacks. Separating millet from the husk is a time consuming and labour intensive task and introduction of the dehuller has simplified and speeded up the way the farmers work. This will revive millet farming in the region. These machines are shared by a number of millet growing villages.

Big multinational companies are joining hands with total investments amounting to 1 billion to stop deforestation and to grow forests wherever possible. Pepsico and Nestle are pumping this investment for forest conservation and tackling the world wide problem of pollution.

No price increase for fertilizers
Government has announced that prices of fertilizers will not be increased as some fertilizer companies were trying to do. The fertilizer companies had announced this increase in price due to increase in the price of the chemicals, that form these fertilizers, globally.
