  • Government’s Agriculture Infrastructure Fund to Provide Loans to Farmers, FPOs, SHG and PACS

    Cabinet has approved the decision to form ‘Agriculture Infrastructure Fund’ that is aimed at injecting formal credit to farm as well as farm processing-based activities while creating many job opportunities in rural areas. Through interest subvention & financial support, this scheme will offer a financing facility for investment in projects related to post-harvest management infrastructure & community farming assets. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar told that the agri infra fund would provide loans to Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), Farmer Producers Organizations (FPOs), Marketing Cooperative Societies, Self Help Group (SHG) & farmers.

  • CBSE Releases New Syllabus for Academic Session 2020-21

    Central Board of Secondary Education has finally issued the new syllabus for academic year 2020-21. The circular issued by CBSE said that the move was necessitated because of the loss in classroom teaching due to Coronavirus and thus the board has decided to revise the syllabus for classes IX to XII for the academic session 2020-21.

  • Covid-19 Update: 24,879 New Coronavirus Cases Added in Last 24 hours

    On Thursday, India has recorded another 24,879 cases of Covid-19 (in a 24-hour span) that took its tally of infection to 7,67,296. Now the total number of active Coronavirus cases in India stand at 2,69,789, as per Union health ministry. More than 4.7 lakh patients have recovered or discharged. Until now, 21,129 people have died because of the disease (487 in last 24 hrs), according to the health ministry data.

  • Defence Minister Inaugurates Six New Bridges in Jammu & Kashmir

    Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on 9th July 2020 inaugurated 6 bridges in border areas of Jammu & Kashmir, asserting that development of remote areas in the region would continue to be the "key priority" for NDA government. Singh dedicated the bridges via video conferencing in presence of Chief of the Army Staff, General MM Naravane, Director General of Border Roads Organization, Lt Gen Harpal Singh and Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar, among others.

  • Class 10, Class 12 Board Exam Results 2020 Likely to be Released by 15 July

    The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to release class 10 and class 12 board exam results 2020 by 15th July. Few hours back, ANI news agency had posted that CBSE will announce the results for the class 10 and class 12 board exams on 13th July and 11th July respectively, but, within few minutes the news agency retracted the tweet & termed the dates as invalid.
