Covid-19 latest Updates: Kailash Choudhary Tests Positive for Coronavirus
According to latest reports, Kailash Choudhary, Union Minister of State for Agriculture has tested positive for Covid-19. Currently, he is undergoing treatment for Coronavirus at a hospital in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Choudhary in a tweet said, "Following the test done last night after showing symptoms, the report for coronavirus has come out positive. All friends who came in contact with me in the past few days must keep distance from their family members & get themselves tested."

Weather Warning: Red, Orange Alert Issued for several districts in Kerala
The Met office has issued a red alert for many districts in Kerala warning of heavy rainfall on Saturday (8th Aug), a day after a landslide in Idukki district in which 21 people were killed. The incident in a reminder of the massive 2018 disaster precipitated by flooding & landslides because of incessant rains & overflowing of dams.
Moreover, a red alert has been issued for Malappuram, Kozhikode, Idukki, Wayanad & Kannur districts and an orange alert for Alapuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Kasargod and Pathanamthitta districts for tomorrow.

NIFT Counselling 2020: Online Registration Begins for PG & UG courses
National Institute of Fashion Technology, popularly known as NIFT, has begun the online registration for NIFT counselling for admission to UG and PG courses. Students qualifying the General Ability Test (GAT) & Creative Ability Test (CAT) can apply online for the counselling till 13th August 2020. To register online, applicants will have to login at the NIFT official website using the form number & dates of birth (Dob).
