Acres of standing crop damaged in Odisha’s ‘vegetable bowl’
The unseasonal torrential rain and ferocious winds brought by Cyclone Yaas has severely damaged large tracks of vegetables, black and green gram, groundnut and summer paddy crops across Odisha’s district Kendrapara, Balasore, Mayurbhanj and Bhadrak.

In comparison to last year, this year 12.14 % more wheat has been procured
Wheat procurement is going smoothly in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, and Jammu & Kashmir. Around 416.44 LMT of Wheat has been procured so far. In comparison to last year’s corresponding period, this year 12.14 % more wheat has been procured and about 45.56 Lakh farmers were benefitted from the ongoing wheat procurement.

Education Minister releases the guideline for Children with Disabilities
Union Education Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal approved the release of guidelines for the Development of e-Content for the Divyang (Children with Disabilities). It’s the first time, when such attempt is made for the children with disabilities. The motive behind releasing this guideline is to fulfill the goal of inclusive education.

24 metric tonnes of groundnuts are exported from eastern region to Nepal via west Bengal
A shipment of 24 metric tonnes of groundnuts is exported from eastern region to Nepal through west Bengal. The shipment was obtained from the farmers of West Midnapur, district of West Bengal and it was exported by APEDA registered Laduram Promoters Pvt Ltd, Kolkata.
India exported 6.38 lakh tonnes of groundnuts to countries such as Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, China, Russia, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates and Nepal.
