  • CWC should double its storage capacity

    Central Warehouse Corporation should increase its storage capacity and generate more revenue, says Union Minister Piyush Goyal. He said CWC should not only store more but also store better. CWC must modernize and its work must be regularly audited to ensure good storage.

  • Crop procurement going smoothly across India

    Around 3.5 LMT of wheat and over 695 LMT of paddy has so far been procured, under MSP. Millions of farmers have benefitted from these scheme. Procurement of pulses, oilseeds, copra and kapas is also ongoing.

  • Zimbabwe to export more tobacco

    Zimbabwe's biggest exporting commodity is Tobacco and these exports are expected to rise even more. Their biggest buyer is China. This year Zimbabwe is expected to sell 200 Million KGs of tobacco and the government wants to produce 300 Million Kgs of tobacco per year in next 5 years.

  • Threat of toxic flash flood eradicated

    The threat of toxic floods, that was forcing the local authorities to relocate the people living close to a reservoir, is no more. The situation was brought into control by pumping millions of liters of water out of the reservoir. This reduced the pressure on the wall that was threatening to collapse hence avoiding the flash floods.

  • T20 world cup in six months even with Corona

    India is hosting the T20 world cup this year in six month's time. Even though there is threat from Corona, the tournament will go on with empty stadiums and games live on TV.
