  • Centre procures over 11 lakh tonnes of paddy at MSP in last ten days

    The Central government said that more than 11 lakh tonnes of kharif paddy has been obtained at minimum support price or MSP from farmers for a total of Rs 2,103.46 cr in the past 10 days.
    It said pulses and cotton are also being procured at the MSP according to the existing schemes.

  • Telangana to Procure Paddy from Farmers in Villages

    Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrasekhar Rao today said paddy will be procured from farmers in full in villages. And several government agencies will be sent to rural regions for the purpose in view of the continuing threat of Coronavirus. The CM, who held a meeting with ministers as well as officials said that farmers need not come to markets with their produce as the government agencies will reach out to them.

  • Odisha: Major fire broke out at Indian Oil petrol pump near Raj Bhavan

    Eight people were injured in a major fire that took place at an Indian Oil Corporation petrol pump near Raj Bhavan on Wednesday, said police. Two of the injured are critical and have been shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, said LD Sahu, director of Capital Hospital.
