Aromatic plants double income of Himachal farmers
Growing aromatic plants alongside traditional crops has provided extra income to Himachal farmers. Once cultivated these can be processed and their products are sold at good prices, for example marigold oil.

Beekeeping is getting popular in Himachal
Mud hive technology has helped the beekeepers working with apple orchards to improve their production by 25%. The mud hives provide better temperature control than wooden hives. In this technology local bees are used and not foreign ones as the local bees easily adapt to the local environment.

10,000 more FPOs for the country
Union Minister, Narendra Singh Tomar has announced that 10,000 new FPOs will be launched in India to process and add value to the rural agricultural products. Government has asked entrepreneurs to start FPOs in rural areas and has assured them of Government's complete support, even for funding. These FPOs will help the farmers in accessing bigger markets, reducing their costs, gaining knowledge, sharing technology. Even loans to the FPOs will be facilitated by the government. With the help of the FPOs, the villages will see immense growth, by coming in touch with the rest of the country.

Coarse Grains boost immunity against COVID-19
Union Minister, Narendra Singh Tomar attended an MP summit through video conferencing where he declared that Coarse grains are immunity boosters against COVID-19. He was talking about the importance of growing coarse grains in low water areas instead of wheat and paddy. He said climate change is one of the major worries of the common farmer.

New Bridge inaugurated in Chamoli will provide connectivity
A 200 meter new bridge has been built by Border Roads Organization (BRO) across Rishiganga river in Chamoli. This bridge will provide connectivity to the villages that were cut off from rest of the Uttarakhand state due to the flash floods.

"Test, Track and Treat"
It has been more than a year with Corona. Despite efforts from every country on the planet this menace is still hurting the humanity. Even though at times we believed that we will be able to win over this problem but every time Corona defeats us. Senior government health officials have said we must continuously "Test, Track and Treat" to get on top of this problem.

Vice President, M. Venkaiah Naidu, said public private partnerships are the way forward towards meeting the health requirements of the rural areas. Better health will mean that you will be able to work better and the economy will improve. He said mental health is even more important. We must give complete health care to the rural communities.

Indonesian state has started a new green refinery which will produce oils like diesel and jet fuel, from palm oil. The environmentalists are concerned about deforestation that may take place to feed this refinery and produce the palm oil.

Traffic to and from Delhi continues to be affected on the routes occupied by the farmer protestors. Most of the commuters are trying to look for alternative routes to avoid the protestors.
