    A low-pressure area, which is the remnant of a Cyclone Jawad lies over the northwest Bay of Bengal & adjoining West Bengal-Bangladesh coasts, said India Meteorological Department on 6th December (Monday). This low-pressure area will cause heavy to extremely heavy rains at the isolated places in Tripura & heavy rainfall at the isolated places over south Assam & Meghalaya, Manipur & Mizoram during the next 24 hours, said the weather department. A western disturbance lies in the mid & upper tropospheric westerlies, 5.8 km above mean sea level. It is likely to cause the isolated to scattered light rainfall or snowfall over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand in the next 24 hours.
