• High risk States again report increase in COVID cases

  Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Karnataka have registered  17,407 new cases in last 24 hours. These high risk States account for more than 85 percent of the total cases in India.

• Stay alert to new diseases, Vice President tells scientists

  The Vice President, Mr M Venkaiah Naidu has asked the scientists and researchers to stay alert to new diseases, so that these can be controlled in time before spreading to unmanageable levels. He appreciated the work done, by the government and private medical agencies, in tackling the pandemic.

• Union Minister tells India to be more Quality Conscious

  Union Minister, Mr. Piyush Goyal, has urged Indians to be more quality conscious. This will improve India's image in the world and bring more business to Indians.

• Shortage of Soybeans expected in USA

  Soybeans are expected to be in shortage in USA over next few months. The reason for this being unexpected weather conditions in South America, particularly in Brazil and Argentina. Hence the price of Soybeans are also expected to rise.

• 5 accused of Republic Ray violence granted bail by Delhi Court

  5 protesters accused of violence at the Red Fort on Republic Day have been granted bail by Delhi Court. They are not expected to repeat the offence and The Court refused to keep them in the custody simply because they may commit the crime again. Further there is no evidence of their current crimes apart from being arrested at the scene.

• Bengaluru, Pune, Ahmedabad offer easiest life in India

  Ease of Living Index calculates the quality of life of average citizens of the cities and how the government initiatives have affected the life of citizens. In Million Plus category Bengaluru offers the best life while in Less than Million category Shimla scored the most points.

• Cannabis drinks to be supplied to states with legalized recreational marijuana

  After success in California, Green Thumb is planning to supply its cannabis drink product to other States in USA where cannabis use has been legalized for recreational purposes, like Illinois and New Jersey.

• Cost of food, worldwide, continuously increased over last year

  Food has been getting costlier worldwide, with prices rising every month over last one year according to the data from FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization).

• 99th Day of farmers protest

  Tomorrow will be 100th day of farmers protests which have resulted in blocked traffic of vehicles and trains, affecting mostly Delhi and adjoining states. The real aim of the protests which has stayed same throughout the protests was repealing the three new farm laws which they believe will hurt their incomes and  request for MSP on more food items which will improve their income. Despite all the efforts by these thousands of farmers the central government is unimpressed.

• Vaccines to be upgraded for Corona Variants

  Despite mass vaccinations across the world for COVID-19, scientists and health sector are concerned about new variants which may rise and waste all the good work that has been done so far. The plan now is to upgrade the vaccines for any variants in Corona, as soon as detected.
