  • Andhra Pradesh approves power subsidy for the farmers

    Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has given its nod to a scheme for offering free power for farmers via direct cash transfers. YS Jaganmohan Reddy, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh had directed his ministers to ensure that no burden falls on the farmers of the state. As part of the initiative, the Andhra government will transfer the amount corresponding to power use to each farmer's bank account. This would allow the cultivators to pay their power bills by using this money.

  • Weather Condition Likely to Remain Dry for Few Days: IMD

    India Meteorological Department (IMD) officials said that rainfall has reduced all over the country after the wettest August this monsoon in forty years. There is a 27.5 percent rain deficiency in the 1st three days of September. Scientists said that the weather condition is expected to remain largely dry with isolated events of heavy showers in some parts of north-west & peninsular India.

  • NEET JEE 2020: SC rejects review petition Filed by six Opposition ruled states against conducting exams

    The Supreme Court has dismissed the review petition filed by six opposition-ruled states against its order allowing to conduct NEET (UG) and JEE (Mains) entrance examinations amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Six ministers are from Maharashtra, Punjab, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.
