UPSC Result 2019: Pradeep Singh Tops Civil Service Exam
UPSC Civil Services 2019 Result: Union Public Service Commission on Tuesday (4th August 2020) has declared the final result of civil services exam 2019 @ upsc.gov.in. 829 applicants have been recommended for appointment to Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) & Central Services, Group ‘A’ & Group ‘B’. Pradeep Singh is the topper of UPSC CSE 2019. The commission has also released the merit list of applicants who have cleared the UPSC CSE 2019 examination. Pradeep Singh is the UPSC 2019 topper who is followed by Jatin Kishore & Pratibha Verma.

IMD Issues Red Alert for Mumbai and few other Districts
Mumbai Rains updates: Mumbai and parts of Konkan have been receiving continuous rainfall since Sunday night. Recording more than 1,400 mm, Mumbai witnessed one of its heaviest showers of July. And now the city is expected to receive more rainfall all through this week. The India Meteorological Department or IMD has put five districts that includes Mumbai, on a red alert as intense rain is likely during the next few hours & continuous rain till 6th August.

Covid-19 Updates: On Monday (3rd August 2020), India's Coronavirus tally crossed the 18-lakh mark, with over 52,000 cases reported in a single day. According to the Union Health Ministry data the number of recoveries also surged to over 11.86 lakh. Ex Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah also tested positive for Coronavirus, after Home Minister Amit Shah & MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who have been hit by this pandemic. The WHO has said that it had completed its investigation on the origin of Covid-19 in China.

Himachal Pradesh will be free of stray cattle in 18 months: CM
Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Jai Ram Thakur said that efforts are on to make the state free of stray cattle in the next 18 months. The minister was speaking at the launch of the ‘Assistance to gausadan/gaushala/cow sanctuary scheme’ & National Artificial Insemination Programme Phase-II. The CM said that under this scheme cow shelters with around 30 cattle would be provided Rs.500 per cow per month as maintenance allowance. This would be done after complete tagging under the information network for Animal Productivity & Health (INAPH) & National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP).
