Indian Exports crossed USD 34 Billion in March
India has exported goods worth more than USD 34 billion in March 2021 which is a 50 percent increase over the exports in the same month in previous year. This is due to the increase in demand of the following items - cereals, oil meals, jute items, iron ore and carpets.

MSP procurement picking up
Government is procuring as much grains in whichever state possible at MSP. Almost 78,000 tonnes of wheat has been procured in last two weeks. The rabi crop so far has been procured from some northern states and will be procured all over India soon.

Farmers protest leaders car attacked in Rajasthan
A group of cars, carrying farmers leaders including Rakesh Tikait were pelted with stones in Rajasthan. Few persons have been arrested and the travelers have published the state of the vehicles. The farmers leaders are trying to put the blame on BJP and its supporters.

Indians importing more gold
India has imported almost 2 and a half times more gold than imported last year, during march. One of the reasons for this is lowering of import duties on the precious metal.

Himachal Pradesh closes education institutions till April 15th
Himachal Pradesh has ordered all educational institutions to remain closed till 15th of April, due to Corona Pandemic. Even after this date whether these institutions will be opened or not will depend on how well the state is faring against the pandemic .

Does bonded labour exist in Punjab?
It is suspected that the practice of bonded labour is in use in some border towns and villages of Punjab. Bonded labour is banned in India and the Government of Punjab has been asked to verify these reports and if true then take necessary action.

Over 89,000 new Corona cases in India today
Over 89,000 persons have tested positive for corona in India in a single day. This is the second biggest spike in Corona's graph so far. Even the great Sachin Tendulkar was tested positive, admitted to hospital and hopes to be relieved soon.

Kerala fishers to catch plastic with fishes
Kerala fishers after being educated about the dangers of polluting the seas, which in turn will affect their livelihood have agreed not to put back into the sea, the plastic they catch with their fish. Instead they now carry bags with them into which they empty the plastic.
