• Rice bowl of Tamil Nadu exports 'Village rice'

  'Village rice' produced by Thanjavur district is being exported to Ghana and Yemen. This rice is rich in protein and minerals, and its export is following the trend of increasing exports of non-basmati varieties of rice.

• Air India orders Amenity kits

  Air India gas ordered 1.10 lakh amenity kits which include khadi sanitiser, khadi moisturizer, khadi lemongrass oil, other essential oils etc. These will be manufactured by small industrial units in rural areas, organized by Khadi and Village Industries commission.

• Monsoon in Kerala delayed till 3rd June

  Monsoons will reach Kerala by 3rd of June and not by end of May as earlier predicted.

• 23 crore vaccines given free to states by Union government

  Union government has provided 23 crore vaccines to the states during the current vaccination campaign. 21.22 crore of these have been used up by the states and over 1.75 crore of vaccines are still with the states to be used by them.

• Malaysia locks down all activities apart from essential

  Malaysia has locked down all sectors apart from essential sectors like agriculture, livestock and fishery. Some manufacturing sectors will be allowed to work with limited workforce.

• Low demand for sunflower oil in Europe

  Sunflower oil demand from Ukraine is low. The price of it's sunflower oil has been reduced due to this reason.

• Farmers repeat their demand

  Farmers have repeated that the protests will stop when the three laws are repealed. They believe that these laws will do more harm than good.
