Heavy Rainfall likely over Southern & South Western part of India
According to weather channel, a cyclonic circulation is lying over Uttar Pradesh and adjoining areas that will bring heavy rainfall & thunderstorms over isolated places of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab and Delhi on Friday. The weather channel has also predicted fairly widespread to widespread rainfall & thunderstorms over Southern & South Western part of India.
It also said that a cyclonic circulation is over Kerala & adjoining region that will bring heavy to very heavy rainfall over isolated places of Kerala today.

Dalit Farmer's Death Becomes Political Issue in Telangana
The suicide of a Dalit farmer in Telangana has become a political issue after reports of victim being harassed by the local administration official to give up his land for a Rythu Vedika (farmers' forum) building. The incident happened in Telangana’s Veluru village in Siddipet district. Byagari Narsimhulu, the dalit farmer died after drinking pesticide in his fields.
Narsimhulu was forced to give away his quarter acre of land for construction of Rythu Vedika building. In order to put pressure on him, the local revenue officials did not enter his land details in state records.

Coronavirus latest Updates: 55,000 New Covid-19 cases reported in India in a day
With 55,079 positive cases of COVID-19 in a day, India's coronavirus tally is over 16 lakh mark today and the number of recoveries has jumped to 10,57,805. Death toll also went up to 35,747 with 779 fatalities being recorded in a single day. The death from Covid-19 currently stands at 2.18 percent in the country as compared to global average of about 4 percent.
The health ministry said that total Coronavirus positive cases stand at 16,38,871 that includes 5,45,318 active cases, 10,57,805 cured/discharged/migrated & 35,747 deaths.

National Education Policy 2020: Teaching in Mother Tongue up to Class 5
The government on Wednesday while launching the National Education Policy 2020 said that either one of the mother tongue or local or regional language would be the medium of instruction up to Class V in all schools. Among other changes in the NEP, is the extension of right to education to cover all students between 3 and 18 years of age. The education policy also proposes vocational education, with internships, for children from Class VI, a change to 10 plus 2 schooling structure and a 4-year bachelor's programme.
