IMD Says Monsoon to Withdraw From Oct 6
On 30th September (Thursday) the India Meteorological Department said that India’s June to September monsoon rains are likely to start withdrawing from northwest region from 6th October, it is one of the most delayed retreats of a seasonal rainfall. The conditions are likely to be favorable for the commencement of a withdrawal of southwest monsoon from some parts of a northwest India from 6th October 2021. IMD predicts heavy to very heavy rains at the isolated places over Saurashtra & Kutch in Gujarat today on 30th September & there will be significant reduction thereafter.

Stockist Declares 30.97 lakhs of Pulses Stock
On 30th September (Thursday), the food & consumer affairs ministry said that the value chain participants in pulses industry have declared around 30.97 lakh tonne of pulses stock on government portal & this data can be used for taking the steps to ensure smooth supply of key commodity at the affordable rates.

September Rains Causes Damage to Kharif Crops
Heavy rains caused by the Cyclone Gulab in Telangana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh & Madhya Pradesh have damaged the standing crops of cotton, soybean, onion & urad at many places at a time when, country has been looking forward to new crop to tame the commodity inflation. The unprecedented rainfall in the Marathwada has submerged soybean crop.

The Future of Sugar Industry Looks Encouraging
A report published by the credit rating agency Infomerics Valuation & Rating released on 30th September (Thursday) have said that the future of a sugar industry looks very encouraging but there are some persisting concerns that needs urgent attention. The sugar reports states that the government has been proactive & the supportive keeping in mind, its size & the number of livelihoods associated with this, but the focus needs to be shift towards the arriving t resolution of problems.
