  • Delhi-NCR, UP Receives Heavy rains along with Thundershowers

    On 30th July (Friday), the India Meteorological Department has predicted moderate to heavy intensity of rain along with thundershowers at most places of Delhi NCR region. It also predicted rain over parts of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh & Rajasthan.

  • The Procurement of Paddy & Wheat highest ever in 2020 - 2021

    The Union Minister of State Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti said that the Government of India has procured 869.29 LMT of paddy during the KMS 2020 to 2021 & 433.32 LMT of wheat during the RMS 2021 to 2022, which is the highest ever procurement.

  • Chhattisgarh Government to launch Scheme to provide Rs 6,000 to Landless Families

    The Chhattisgarh government launched the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumihin Krishi Majdur Nyay Yojana, under which the financial assistance of Rs 6,000 per year will be given to landless farmers in the state. This scheme will be implemented from the financial year of 2021 to 2022 and a provision of Rs 200 crore has been included in supplementary budget of the year 2021 to 2022, which was passed in the legislative assembly on 28th July (Wednesday).

     

     

  • CBSE to create new Scheme to deliver Exam Results on time

    On 30th July (Friday), The Central Board of Secondary Education Exam Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj said that the board has created a scheme, under which more than one exam can be conducted. The CBSE Exam Controller said that “On the basis of those numbers, we will be able to deliver the exam results on time in case of any pandemic like situation in future”.

  • India records Highest number of Forest-Fire Alerts in 3 years

    On 30th July (Friday) The Centre told the Parliament that, India has recorded 3,45,989 forest-fire between November 2020 & June 2021, highest in the last three years & almost triple the number of alerts generated during same period in the previous year. The Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Environment, Ashwini Choubey said that 3,45,989 forest-fire alerts were sent by the Forest Survey of India by using SNPP-VIIRS sensors.

     

  • PM Modi: Engineering Courses to be taught in 11 Regional Languages

    On 29th July, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on the completion on the completion of one year of new Education Policy via Video Conferencing. PM Modi said that now engineering courses will be taught in Eleven regional languages, it will help the poor, needy, Dalits & other backward classes.

  • Kerala Government announces Rs 5,000 Cr Financial Package to revive the State Economy

    On 30th July (Friday), The Finance Minister, K N Balagopal, announced a financial package of over Rs 5,000 crore to revive the state economy, that is reeling due to the pandemic. He said that this package is to provide the assistance to small-scale traders & farmers of the state who have been adversely affected by COVID-Pandemic.

     

  • Govt. mulls fortified rice to tackle Malnutrition Anemia

    Three decades, after the iodized salt was mandatory to address the deficiencies in diet, India is considering compulsory fortifications of rice from the year 2024 as a significant percentage of the population continues to suffer from the malnutrition & anaemia. The government is likely to announce the policy to help the industry ramp up production of rice fortified with folic acid, iron & Vitamin B12.
