  • Uttar Pradesh brings policy to set up 2000 new 'Farmer Producer Organisations'

    The Uttar Pradesh government has come-out with a new policy on Tuesday (29th September 2020) on creating and incentivizing Farmer Producer Organisations or FPOs of the 2-crore small & medium farmers in the state so they can obtain better price for their produce.

  • Agra farmers fully support new farm bills

    Farmers in Agra are praising the latest farm bills introduced by the Centre and are hopeful that agriculture reforms will be helpful for them. One of them said that “This bill is beneficial for farmers. There will be no difficulty in bringing their grains in mandi & there will be no mediator or black market. We fully support the law and those who are opposing are doing wrong. This is good for farmers.”

  • Babri Masjid case: Advani, MM Joshi among 32 accused acquitted

    Almost 28 years after the demolition of Babri Masjid, a special CBI court on Wednesday acquitted all the 32 accused, including BJP leaders Lal Krishna Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Kalyan Singh, Uma Bharti, in the criminal conspiracy case, holding that there was no conclusive proof against them. Demolition of the 500-year old Babri Masjid was not pre-planned and the accused were being acquitted due to lack of evidence, said CBI judge Surendra Kumar Yadav.

  • India successfully test-fires BrahMos supersonic cruise missile 

    India has today test-fired an extended range BrahMos supersonic cruise missile. The missile, whose test-firing was successful, is capable of hitting targets at over 400-km range. The test was carried out under PJ-10 project of the Defence Research & Development Organisation, under which the missile was launched with an indigenous booster.
