Monsoon is the season closely associated with a host of vector, water & foodborne diseases, such as flu, diarrhoea, malaria, leptospirosis, and jaundice. This rainy season also invites a lot of eye infections - with conjunctivitis being the most common of all. Apart from illnesses related to contaminated water & food, monsoon sees a huge rise in the eye. According to Health experts, high humidity levels are one of the leading causes of several eye infections, which are classified as viral, bacterial, protozoal, and fungal.
The first and basic precaution is to wash your hands with antiseptic soap & water frequently. It will avoid contracting the infection & prevent the spread of viral and bacterial conjunctivitis to family members.
