  • CropLife India Pioneers Farmers’ Education Drive on Chili Thrips Management in Andhra Pradesh

    Croplife India, an association of 16 R & D driven crop science companies, and the leading voice of the plant science industry in India, pioneered a farmers’ education drive on Chili Thrips Management in Andhra Pradesh. CropLife India had issued a Chilli Thrips Advisory (English and Telugu languages) advising farmers about pest management. 

  • India GI Fair 2022 organised by Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts

    India GI Fair 2022 was organized by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) with the support of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry and Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India at India Expo Centre & Mart, Delhi NCR. At this Fair, India's finest GI-tagged products will be on display at the event which will allow people to get a glimpse of products that have become the pride of regions of their origin. GI is basically a sign. It is used on products that have a specific geographical origin. Krishi Jagran’s team went to the ground level and covered the whole event, and interacted with many companies.

  • ‘Ghar ghar ration’ Scheme To Start In Punjab From October 2

    The Punjab government’s ‘ghar ghar ration’ scheme will be implemented from October 2 and about 1.54 crore people will benefit from it. Under the doorstep ration delivery scheme, the Aam Aadmi Party government would deliver wheat flour, packed in bags, at the beneficiaries’ doorstep. Food and Civil Supplies Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak said in a conference it is the government’s endeavour that within seven days of grinding wheat in the mill, the flour should be delivered to all the houses, which will have a good effect on their health.

  • SEA Asks Indonesia to ensure stable policy for palm oil exports

    A delegation of the Solvent Extractors’ Association of India recently met an Indonesian delegation headed by Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of Trade, in New Delhi and advised Indonesia to ensure a stable policy for the export of palm oil from that country, on this SEA delegation said it had caused supply chain issues in India, and put a dent in the Indonesian policy decision-making. Because of this, Indonesia lost its market share to Malaysia, and overall palm oil lost the market share to soft oils in India.
