Dhanuka Group’s Campaign 'India Ka Pranam, Har Kisan Ke Naam' Wins Award
India’s leading agri-input company - Dhanuka Group’s unique brand campaign ‘India ka Pranam Har Kisan ke Naam’ has been conferred with the prestigious ‘Silver Award’ at the ET DigiPlus Awards 2023. ITPO 2023: Coir Board receives Gold Medal for Best Commodity Boards Pavilion
Coir Board was awarded the Silver Medal last year and has been awarded the Gold Medal in 2023. This time it is also special because many countries from around the world have participated in India for the first time. At an award ceremony organized by ITPO on the last day, ITPO CMD Shri Pradeep Singh Kharola awarded the Gold Medal to Coir Board. The Coir Board has taken a new initiative to showcase its innovative machines for producing various coir products very effectively.

19th Working Party on Data Collection and Statistics of the Indian Ocean Tuna Commission Commences Today
The Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, GoI is organizing the 19th Working Party on Data Collection and Statistics (WPDCS19) of the Indian Ocean Tuna Commission (IOTC) from November 28 to December 2, 2023. The meeting was inaugurated today at Hotel St. Regis, Mumbai, Maharashtra. This is an important meeting organized by the IOTC and hosted by the Department of Fisheries, GoI, which will bring together renowned Scientists and Experts in the field of Tuna fisheries from all around the world.

KVK-Lakshadweep Uses Kerala Barn Owls to Kill Rats
KVK-Lakshadweep has been using the Barn Owls (Tyto alba) to do away with rats. They have been running a ‘Pilot project on Biological Control of Rodents (Rats) by Using Barn Owls (Tyto alba) in Kavaratti Island’ to protect the island. Kavaratti Island accommodates coconut in an area of 2,674 ha with a production of 87 crore nuts. The estimated loss due to the rat menace accounts for 40% of the island.

Grapes, Onion Crops Face Extensive Damage Across Over 90,000 Hectares in 18 Districts
Severe rain and hailstorms struck Maharashtra on Sunday, causing significant damage to crop, particularly grapes and onions. Initial estimates from the state agriculture department reveal that more than 90,000 hectares across 18 districts, mainly in North Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Vidarbha, were affected by the adverse weather conditions. Farmers in the region anticipate further losses as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow and orange alert for Marathwada and Vidarbha districts, respectively, over the next 24 hours.
