PM Modi has greeted the country today on Hanuman Jayanti. He has prayed for Hanuman Ji's help in fighting this corona pandemic. He hopes to follow examples from Hanuman Ji's life for inspirations.

"Large Area Certification" scheme to quickly certify traditional farming areas as Organic
There are large portions of land in Indian territory which are away from the influence of chemicals, especially remote areas with low connectivity to rest of the country. Government is planning a LAC scheme which will certify these areas as Organic producers. This will benefit these areas in their marketing activities.

ECHS polyclinics to hire night staff for three months
Defense minister Rajnath Singh has ordered hiring of night staff (doctors, nurses, pharmacist, driver, security guard) for the 51 ECHS polyclinics, across the country which cater to the health needs of retired army personnel and their families. This hiring has been ordered so that the additional burden on medical staff due to Corona can be handled adequately. Further India has imported 20 cryogenic tankers to supply Oxygen to the states, as per their requirements.

Heavy rainfall is expected over parts of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Heat wave will continue over Kutch in Gujarat.

PM Modi spoke separately with US President and Japanese PM, however the conversations revolved around the same topic, Corona Pandemic and how to tackle it. All countries across the globe are working on their own and are cooperating whenever required.

Armed forces working on infrastructure and arranging medical personnel
Indian armed forces, briefed the PM about what they have been doing to tackle corona. New medical buildings are being built across the country and medical personnel are playing their part by serving in civilian facilities. Even retired medical personnel are being called back to serve the country again.

Corn prices keep increasing in USA
USA has been planting corn too slow, so as to create doubts about its countrywide production. Brazilians on the other hand are worried by heat and no rain which may kill their corn crops before they are harvested. Arabica coffee prices are also rising across the globe as its production suffers in Brazil.

Deep Singh Sidhu released from Tihar jail on bail
Deep Singh Sidhu was released on bail by the court hearing the case against him. He had to pay Rs 25,000 in bail to secure his release even as the case against him continues. He said he was satisfied with the way the court was handling his case, which accuses him of violent acts on 26th January while participating in farmer protests.
