  • Coronavirus India Updates: Gap between new cases; Over 3,000 Covid-19 patients untraceable in Bengaluru

    India’s total virus caseload has risen to over 13.85 lakh with as many as 48,661 new Covid-19 cases. While as many as 705 coronavirus patients succumbed to the illness since yesterday, bringing the death toll to 32,063. As per reports, 36,145 patients were cured in the last 24 hours which the total number of active cases stands at 4.67 lakh.

  • Kargil Vijay Diwas 2020: Nation Remembers the Hero of Kargil War Today

    India has observed 21st Kargil Vijay Diwas today to commemorate its victory over Pakistan in the high-altitude conflict in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kargil district and along the Line of Control (LoC) and pay tributes to soldiers who lost their lives more than two decades ago.

    India launched Operation Vijay to clear the posts in the Kargil sector, which was occupied by the Pakistani soldiers and infiltrators on the Indian side of the LoC in 1993.

    Amid the fear of flood, one picture has gathered attention on social media. As per reports, the rhino is about 30 feet from the bathroom, settled in a spot by the pond in Nripen Nath’s backyard. As it chews on his gourd vine, grunting occasionally, the 47-year-old and his two daughters watch silently. “I am not scared,” says Nath, who works as a tour guide, “I love animals.”

    The same cannot be said for his aged parents, who, too, have been sharing this ‘Assam-type’ cottage on the fringes of the Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary with the endangered animal for over a week now as it takes refuge from the floods.

  • Rajasthan Political Crisis: Governor receives cabinet’s revised proposal on assembly session

    In midst of the political crisis, Rajasthan governor has received a revised proposal from the state cabinet led by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot requesting that a session of the assembly be called on July 31, Raj Bhawan, news agency PTI reported Sunday.  The proposal was received late on Saturday night, said sources.
