Over 100 Farmer Unions Participate in Protest Against New Farm Bills
Thousands of farmers took to the streets & blocked roads as well as railways all over the country, intensifying protests over new farming bills they say will benefit only big corporates. Bhupinder Singh Mann, president of the All India Kisan Coordination Committee said that more than 100 farmer unions were taking part in the protest although Covid-19 fears were keeping some people away.

Heavy Rainfall likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Karnataka
According to the weather channel, heavy to very heavy rainfall along with thunderstorms is expected over Northeast states that includes Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Sikkim, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Bihar.
In addition, scattered rainfall is likely over Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Maharashtra, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands & Lakshadweep.
Northern states like Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh will witness isolated showers and thunderstorms.

Ex-mill tur dal prices touch Rs 100/kg in Maharashtra, Karnataka
There is a constant rally in prices of tur dal that has touched Rs 100 per kg in Maharashtra and Karnataka at mill gate. Industry now wants that government agency National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation, also called NAFED must release its stock to ease supplies.
