  • Farmers’ bodies announce Bharat Bandh on September 25

    The All India Farmers Union (AIFU), Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC) and All India Kisan Mahasangh (AIKM) together have announced a nationwide shutdown (Bharat Bandh) on 25th September 2020. Many farmers' organisations from Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu are supporting the Bandh.

  • NEET SS Result 2020 Expected to Be Announced on 25 September

    The National Board of Examinations (NBE) is likely to announce NEET SS 2020 result on 25th September. NEET SS 2020 result would be declared on the official website - nbe.edu.in. Candidates who had appeared in the NEET SS exam can check the NEET SS result 2020 after it is published online. It must be noted that NEET SS exam was held on 15th September.

  • Covid-19 Update: BJP MP Suresh Angadi & Padma Shri nuclear scientist Sekhar Basu Dies of Coronavirus

    Former chairman of Atomic Energy Commission and veteran atomic scientist Dr Sekhar Basu, who had earlier tested positive for novel coronavirus, died at a private hospital in Kolkata on Thursday. On the other hand, MOS and BJP MP Suresh Angadi also died of Coronavirus.

    India's Covid-19 caseload went past 56 lakh with 83,347 infections being reported in a day, while over 45 lakh people have recovered from the disease, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Wednesday.

  • Arati Saha 80th Birth Anniversary: Know More about this Fastest Indian Swimmer 

    Arati Saha was the first Asian woman to cross the English Channel and today is her 80th birth anniversary. Google has dedicated its today’s Doodle to her to pay tribute. She is a well known Indian long-distance swimmer and has made her country proud on September 29, 1959 by becoming the legendary swimmer who swam 42 miles from Cape Gris Nez, France to Sandgate, England. 

     

  • Baggage policy for domestic air travel is revised by Government 

    The Ministry of Civil Aviation has today (24 September 2020) amended the current baggage policy for airlines. It stated that from September 25, 2020 "The baggage limitation would be as per the airlines' policy." 

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

  • Delhi Riots 2020 Case: Umar Khalid Sent in Judicial Custody till Oct 22

    In related to northeast Delhi riots in February this year, a Delhi court Thursday sent former JNU student Umar Khalid, arrested under UAPA in a case , in judicial custody till October 22. Moreover, Khalid was produced before Additional Sessions Judge Amitabh Rawat through video conferencing after his 10 day police custody expired.
