  • NIT-Karnataka Signs MoU with National Jute Board to Develop Geo-Cell Products

    According to a statement, commercially available polymer-based geo-cells are expensive and difficult to get in rural and small-town locations. As a result, it is critical to develop an eco-friendly, cost-effective cellular confinement solution that meets engineering strength criteria. Jute is a natural substance that is abundant in India. The Ganges Delta is home to over 85 percent of the world's jute crop. According to the statement, it is past time for India to investigate its multiple uses and broaden its utilization in the form of various products. This work has been handed to NITK as a Rs 48 lakh research project with Sreevalsa Kolathayar as the Principle Investigator, Raviraj HM and Somasekhara Rao T as Co-principal Investigators.

     

  • PM Modi Addresses One World TB Summit; Dedicates Projects Worth Rs 1780 crore

    PM Modi delivered the keynote address at the Rudrakash Convention Centre on World Tuberculosis Day. This summit was organized by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and the Stop TB Partnership. The Stop TB Partnership, founded in 2001, is a United Nations-hosted organization that raises the voices of people, communities, and countries affected by tuberculosis. During the event, the Prime Minister announced several initiatives, including the TB-Mukt Panchayat initiative, the official pan-India rollout of a shorter TB Preventive Treatment (TPT), a Family-centric TB care model, and the publication of India's Annual TB Report 2023.

     

  • Eminent Russian RUDN University’s Top Faculty Visits Krishi Jagran' Headquarters; Interacts with its Media Team in Delhi

    KJ Chaupal, a platform well recognised for bringing interactions with some of the leading think tanks of the agriculture sector from across the globe, today saw two international guests, who surely can be called veterans of their trade. Maybe they weren’t from the agri sector but having such distinguished guests were no less a feat worth talking! Prof. Dr Victor Barabash, Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Head of Mass Communication Department along with Natalia Poplavskaya, Deputy Dean for International Relations, Faculty of Philology & Associate Professor, Mass Communication Department and Head of MA program 'Global and Digital Media' were at KJ headquarters to attend the KJ Chaupal.   

     

  • Power Min RK Singh to inaugurate National Conference on Biomass on Friday

    At the National Conference on Biomass, Krishan Pal Gurjar, Hon. MoS (Power), stated, "We must ensure that the usage of biomass is increased in the country's power stations in order to reduce green house gas emissions and achieve the Net Zero target." Krishan Pal Gurjar, MOS Power, Alok Kumar Secretary, Power GOI, MM Kutty, Chairman, Commission Delhi Air Quality Mgmt, Ghanshyam Prasad, Chairman CEA, Gurdeep Singh, CMD NTPC were present at inauguration of 3P conference on Pellet to power to Prosperity at New Delhi. 

     

  • APEDA Participates in 3-Day International Food & Drink Exhibition in London

    The three-day exhibition, which completed on March 22, 2023, aimed to promote agricultural product exports in London's worldwide market. APEDA sponsored Indian exporters' participation in the IFE event, where they displayed a diverse range of food goods in all categories. A large number of visitors were interested in the about 50 millet (Shree Anna)-based goods featured at the APEDA pavilion. APEDA presented and distributed the highest quality GI-tagged Alphonso mango, wine from lush grape vineyards, and millet-based value added goods during the IFE 2023 event.
