  • Centre Makes Country of Origin Compulsory for GeM Platform

    With the aim to promote ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ and push country's Make in India, Government e-Marketplace or GeM (online trading platform for state-run agencies), has made it compulsory for sellers to mention the ‘country of origin’ on products they want to sell through the platform. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that "Information about Country of Origin by the sellers made mandatory on GeM".

  • Powerful Earthquake Kills 5 People, Injured Several Others in Mexico

    A strong earthquake centered near the southern Mexico resort of Huatulco has killed at least 5 people, swayed buildings in Mexico City and forced thousands fleeing into the streets. President of Mexico Andrés Manuel López Obrador told that a person was killed while another injured in a building collapse in Huatulco, Oaxaca.

  • Road Map of NCERT for New Academic Session 2020-21 Released by MHRD 

    Ministry of Human Resource Development, (MHRD) has released the roadmap for National Council of Educational Research and Training or NCERT for the next academic year 2020-21. NCERT is directed to complete the curriculum design & content by October 2020 for Classes 1 to 5, based on learning outcomes. However, training of teachers for classes 6 - 12 will have to be completed by June 2021. 

  • Proposal to Grant International Airport Status to UP's Kushinagar Airport Approved 

    Union Cabinet chaired by PM Narendra Modi has today approved declaration of Kushinagar Airport in Uttar Pradesh as an International Airport. It is to be noted that after Noida, Uttar Pradesh will have Kushinagar as second site for the establishment of an International Airport. A 3-kilometre airstrip is already ready at Kushinagar. The proposed international airport at Kushinagar is likely to be a game-changer in the development of Poorvanchal. 

  • Coronavirus LIVE Updates: 10,000-mark crossed in Andhra Pradesh; 15 more BSF personnel test positive  

    India has reported 1,59,68 fresh positive cases and 465 causality in the last 24 hours, says COVID-19 tracker in its latest tracker. Moreover, the total number of COVID-19 infections on Wednesday reached 4,56,183 including 14,476 casualties, 1,83,022 active cases and 2,58,685 recoveries. On the other hand, 15 more BSF personnel test positive in Kanker. 

  • India-China Border Live Updates: Indian, Chinese troops participate in Victory Day parade in Moscow 

    Amid the hue and cry of Corona cases, Indian and Chinese troops, along with contingents from other countries had participated in the Victory Day military parade in the Russian capital of Moscow on Wednesday.

    Defence Minister Rajnath Singh attended the event, the 75th anniversary of the Victory Day celebration to mark the end of Second World War, along with his Chinese counterpart General Wei Fenghe.
