IMD: Heavy Rains is Likely in these States in the next 5 Days
On 23rd September (Thursday) the India Meteorological Department said that there will be isolated to heavy rains is likely to continue over the east Rajasthan, Gujarat, west Madhya Pradesh & north Konkan in the next 5 days. IMD said that the fresh spell of heavy rains is likely over Gangetic West Bengal, & Odisha from 26th September. In the latest update, the weather department said that fairly widespread rainfall along with isolated heavy rains is likely over East Rajasthan, Gujarat, west Madhya Pradesh, Konkan & Goa, and the Coastal Andhra Pradesh in the next 5 days.

India Sugar Mills Pauses Export Deals
The export of sugar in India is holding off signing any more export contracts in a bet that the global prices will rally further after the bad weather damaged crops in top of grower Brazil. The raw sugar in New York need to climb to 20.5 cents a pound to again attract the mills from western Maharashtra state & the southern region, Abinash Verma, the director-general of Indian Sugar Mills Association said & the second-biggest sugar producer already inked deals to ship 1.2 million tons from next year’s crop, by taking advantage of the recent rally in prices.

CM Stalin Gives One Lakh Free Power Connection to Farmers
On 23rd September (Thursday), M K Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu distributed 1 lakh free power connection certificates to farmers. M K Stalin said that during the 2006-2011 DNK regimes, 2.99 lakh farmers have received free electricity connections. In the last year of AIADMK, the government regime, provided only 2 lakh free connections to farmers. The farming sector in the state is not in good shape because the previous government didn’t provide enough electricity connection to farmers.

PFRDA Notify NPS Withdrawal Rules
The Pension Fund Regulatory & Development Authority (PFRDA) has allowed senior citizens to withdraw the entire accumulated pension wealth without purchasing the annuity if the pension corpus is less than equal to Rs 5 lakhs during normal exit that is after the completion of 3 years. According to the regulatory, certain predefined conditions fulfill norms of the exit viz premature exit, normal exit & the exit due to unfortunate death of the subscriber.
