    The Indian Metrological Department (IMD) said in an official statement on Wednesday that light to moderate rainfall or snowfall is likely in the next twenty-four hours in Jammu-Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, and Himachal Pradesh. "Isolated thunderstorms and lightning are extremely likely over the next 24 hours throughout the region." Isolated heavy rain/snowfall is also expected today, February 23, over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, according to the official release. For the next three days, these places are likely to get sporadic showers or snowfall. The weather service also stated that for the next four days, the state of Uttarakhand is likely to get isolated or scattered showers or snowfall.
