    The workshop was graced by the presence of Dinesh Jagdale, Joint Secretary, MNRE, Government of India as a keynote speaker where he elaborated on the changing energy landscape in India and how the country has taken a leadership position in terms of renewable energy. The two-day workshop was organized at the BAIF Campus in Pune where various industry experts deliberated on the potential of clean energy using technology-based solutions.  Elaborating further Dinesh Jagdale, Joint Secretary, MNRE, Government of India said, “A digital marketplace like BiofuelCircle can shape the future biomass market for India.

     

  • "Government's Main Goal is to Increase Millet Production & Yield”: Tomar

    Modi, with foresight, raised the issue of millets at the United Nations, where the resolution of the Government of India was adopted with the support of 72 countries, and the year 2023 is now being celebrated as the International Year of Millets under the leadership of India, according to the United Nations declaration. The government's main goal is to increase millet production and productivity, as well as processing and exports, which will ultimately benefit the country's farmers. Union Minister Tomar made the remarks today in Bengaluru as the chief guest at the International Trade Fair on Millets and Organic Products' closing ceremony. Millets crops, according to Tomar, can be grown with less water.

     

  • UP Govt. to Provide 60% Subsidy and Technical Trainings to Weavers

    To enhance the economic and social conditions of handloom and power loom weavers who fall under the scheduled caste and scheduled tribe categories, the government of Uttar Pradesh will provide subsidies and technical training. According to a state government official, Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister, approved the plans at a high-level meeting to raise the living standards of the weavers who are part of the scheduled caste and scheduled tribe. The state government will help the weavers put up modern handlooms so they can keep up with the times and contribute to the growth of the state, he continued.

    Dr. Vijaya Lakshmi Nadendia, Joint Secretary (Marketing), Ministry of Agriculture, will inaugurate the FPO call centre at Krishi Jagran Headquarters in New Delhi on Tuesday. MC Dominic, Founder & Chairman of Krishi Jagran and Agriculture World, Shiny Dominic, Managing Director at Krishi Jagran & Agriculture World along with Mashar Velapurath, MD, AFC India Limited will participate in the event which will be held in hybrid mode. Other important attendees include KV Somani, CMD at Somani Kanak Seedz, Dr. Dinesh Chauhan, VP at New Initiatives DeHaat, and Daya Shankar Singh, President of UP FPO Association.

     

  • Agriculture Infrastructure Fund Crosses Rs 30,000 Crore Mark of Capital Mobilization

    With a sanctioned sum of Rs. 15,000 crore under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), the initiative has raised more than Rs 30,000 crore for projects in the farm infrastructure sector in less than 2.5 years since it was implemented. AIF is providing all-around financial support to farmers, agri-entrepreneurs, farmer groups like Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Self Help Groups (SHGs), Joint Liability Groups (JLGs), and many others to build post-harvest management infrastructure and community farming associations with the help of a 3 per cent interest subvention, credit guarantee support through CGTMSE for a loan of up to Rs 2 crore, and facility of convergence with other Central and State government schemes.
