  • Corteva Agriscience signs deal with 2030 WRG to promote sustainable rice cultivation in UP

    Corteva Agriscience, a global agricultural company on Thursday (22 July) said that it has signed a 3-year project with the 2030 Water Resources Group (2030 WRG) hosted by the World Bank Group. The deal would promote sustainable rice farming in 40,000 acres in Uttar Pradesh.

  • Farmers Protest: Heavy Security arrangements at Jantar Mantar on 22nd July

    On 22nd July Thursday, Security at Jantar Mantar in central Delhi has been tightened because of a farmers protest against the Centre’s Agri laws amid the monsoon session of the Parliament. A group of 200 farmers will travel to central Delhi’s Jantar Mantar from Singhu border demonstration site in buses along with police escort & holds the protest there from 11 am to 5 pm.

  • SBI Invites Applications for 6100 Apprentice

    The State Bank of India has notified vacancies for Apprentice Recruitment 2021 for over 6100 candidates. The eligible candidates can apply for the posts online through the official site of SBI. The last date to fill the application form is 26th July.

  • Maharashtra: Konkan Railway route affected after Heavy Rain

    On 22nd July Thursday, the Konkan Railway Corporation Limited’s Deputy General Manager, Baban Ghatge said that the train services of Konkan Railway route in Maharashtra’s Ratnagiri district have suspended over a river overflowed following heavy rains in the area. There were Eight trains, which are regulated (either rerouted, short-terminated or canceled).

     

  • Honey Mission Programme launched by KVIC is promoting BEE keeping in India

    The Honey Mission programme was started by Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC), under the Ministry of MSME in 2017. It is being implemented to promote Bee Keeping activities & provide self-sustaining employment opportunities among farmers, Adivasies & unemployed youth in India, especially in remote areas.

    Under the programme, beneficiaries are given Bee Boxes, live bee colonies, tool kits & training. Till date, a total number of 15445 beneficiaries have been assisted under the programme.

  • Small farmers encouraged to set up Cottage Industries for generating self-employment opportunities

    The Government is encouraging small farmers to set up cottage industries to boost their income through the following schemes/programmes:

    • Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP)
    • Agro Based & Food Processing Industry
    • Forest Based Industry
    • Handmade Paper and Fibre Industry
    • Honey Mission etc.
