  • Centre approves Minimum Support Price of Raw Jute for 2022-23 season

    The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, today approved the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for Raw Jute for 2022-23 season. The approval is based on recommendations of the Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices.

  • Weather Update: Rainfall Likely in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh

    According to the weather department, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh are likely to receive rains for the next 5 days.

    Meanwhile, fishermen have been asked not to venture into the Andaman Sea, the Bay of Bengal, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Myanmar coast during the next 24 hours.

  • Petrol and diesel price: Fuel Rates Hiked for the First Time in 2022

    Petrol and diesel prices were increased on March 22 (Tuesday) for the first time since November 2021. Consumers will now have to spend as much as 80 paise /litre more. Petrol in Delhi currently retails at Rs 96.21 /litre up from Rs 95.41 per litre yesterday, while diesel in the National capital is priced at Rs 87.47 pet litre up from Rs 86.67 per litre — both up 80 paise per litre.

    In Mumbai city, a litre of petrol & diesel cost Rs 110.82 & Rs 95, respectively.
