  • IMD Predicts Heavy Rains & Issued Red, Orange & Yellow Alerts

    The India Meteorological Department issued orange & yellow alerts in various districts of Kerala from 21st October to 25th October. IMD issued an “orange alert’ for 8 districts: Pathanamttia, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Kannur, Kottayam, Idukki & Wayanad. A yellow alert has been issued for Thiruvananthapuram, Alappuzha, Kasaragod, Ernakulam, & Thrissur districts. A Red alert has also been indicated a very heavy rainfall of over 20 cm in 24 hours, while the orange alert denotes heavy rains from 6cm – 20 cm of rainfall activity.

     

  • Centre’s 2,000 to 3,000 Crore Scheme Digitalize PACs on Anvil

    The Union Cooperation Ministry is working on a new central scheme to modernize & digitalize over 97,000 primary agriculture cooperative societies. Spread across the country with a budget outlay of Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,000 crore over the next 5 years. The Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies is commonly known as the Agri-Cooperative Credit Societies are the village level lending institutions, based on cooperative principles.

  • 64 Deaths & 11 Missing Due To Heavy Rains In Uttarakhand

    On 21st October (Thursday) the Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the death toll in rain-battered Uttarakhand has mounted to 64 & more than 11 people have been reported missing so far and the Char Dham Yatra has also been resumed.

  • DA Hike For Central Govt. Employees Ahead of Diwali

    On 21st October (Thursday) the Union Cabinet approved an increase of 30% points on Dearness Allowance (DA) Dearness Relief (DR) for the central government employees & pensioners from 28%. After the hike, the DA will increase to around 31%. The hike comes into effect from 1st July 2021, announced Union Minister Anurag Thakur. These new hikes come just days ahead of Diwali & are aimed to benefit about 47 lakh employees & 68.62 lakh, pensioners.
