  • Orange alert issued in several districts of Kerala

    Kerala continued to receive heavy rainfall on Monday with the weather office issuing an orange alert for ten districts after a low-pressure area was formed over the North East Bay of Bengal & adjoining areas. The districts of Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kasaragod and Kannur have been put under Orange alert.

  • Diljit Dosanjh supports farmers protesting against farm Bills

    Punjabi actor and singer, Diljit Dosanjh is supporting the farmers protesting against three agriculture Bills passed by the Lok Sabha recently. The Lower House of Parliament had passed the Farmers Produce Trade & Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill & the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance & Farm Services Bill on 17th September. It had earlier passed the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill.

  • Fresh ruckus in Rajya Sabha: 8 suspended MPs refuse to leave, House adjourned

    Amid strong protests over the suspension of eight opposition MPs for their “unruly behaviour” during the passage of the farm bills yesterday, proceedings in Rajya Sabha on Monday were disrupted several times and finally adjourned for the day. The eight suspended members includes— Derek O Brien, Sanjay Singh, Rajiv Satav, KK Ragesh, Ripun Bora, Dola Sen, Syed Nazir Hussain and Elamaran Kareem.

  • Coronavirus India live updates: Covid-19 recovery rate in India crosses 80 per cent mark

    India's Covid-19 case tally crossed 54-lakh mark with a spike of 92,605 new cases and 1,133 deaths in the last 24 hours. The total case tally stands at 54,00,620. Stay here for all live updates. However, Delhi health minister Satyendar Jain recently tweeted that 30 per cent of Covid-19 patients admitted to Delhi hospitals are from other states.

  • Ayodhya mosque to be square shaped  

    The Dhannipur mosque that will come up in Ayodhya in lieu of the demolished Babri masjid will be square shaped just like the Kaaba Sharif in Mecca.
