    State Agriculture Commissioner Richard Ball announced today the commencement of Agricultural Literacy Week in New York, with a full calendar of reading programmes planned throughout the week. Agricultural Literacy Week, now in its 18th year, is a statewide effort organized by New York Agriculture in the Classroom (NYAITC) to educate students about the importance of agriculture and job options in the industry.

     

  • Retail Inflation for Agricultural Labourers at 6.94% in Feb 2023

    Retail inflation, as evaluated by the annual change in the consumer price index (CPI), monitors changes in the retail prices of goods & services purchased by households for daily usage. According to the ministry of labour and employment, retail inflation for agricultural and rural workers in February 2023 was 6.94% and 6.87%, respectively. In February 2022, it was 5.59 percent and 5.94 percent, respectively.
