More than 100 trains affected due to protest by sugarcane farmers in Punjab: Railway
Northern Railway on Saturday (2 Aug 2021) announced that 19 trains that were scheduled to start journey after 4pm, have been cancelled because of demonstrations in Punjab by farmers demanding clearance by the state government of their dues amounting to over Rs. 200 crore, along with a hike in the State Assured Price (SAP) of sugarcane growing farmers.
