  • DAP available at 50 percent subsidy

    Price of a bag of DAP has increased from Rs 1700 to Rs 2400. Earlier government was providing subsidy of Rs 500 and the DAP bags were available at Rs 1200. Now the price of DAP per bag has increased to Rs 2400. Government is again providing a 50 percent subsidy so that the DAP bags are available at the price of Rs 1200 to the farmers. This action has been taken by government to support the farmers and control prices of food items in the market.

  • India exports mangoes to South Korea, sapotas to UK

    2.5 MT of mangoes so far have been shipped to South Koreas and a total of 66MT will be supplied this season. These are GI certified and so are the sapotas (chikoos) that are being exported to UK.

  • Government to keep an eye on food item prices

    Piyush Goyal, the Union minister, has ordered that the prices of food items must be kept under check to ensure that the citizens get these products at affordable prices. Any means that may lead to such price increase like hoarding must also be checked.

  • Farmers defend their protests

    The protesting farmers have repeated that the new laws will benefit the business community and harm the farmers, that the traders will get richer and the farmers will suffer. They said these protests are to protect the next generations and our farms.

  • 18.7 crore vaccinated for Corona in India

    Almost 18.7 crore persons have been vaccinated across India in the vaccination drive. Since 18 plus persons were allowed to get vaccinated, over 70 Lakh persons of the age group 18-44 have got themselves vaccinated.

  • Parts of Gujarat and Uttarakhand under alert for heavy rainfall

    Some of the districts of Gujarat (Junagarh, Amreli, Botad, Bhavnagar, Valsad etc.) and Uttarakhand (Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Almora etc.) will see heavy rainfall today.

  • Free mini-kits for Kharif season 2021

    Indian Government is planning to distribute free mini kits to farmers interested in producing oilseeds. This will allow the country to become self sufficient in production of edible oil. The kit will contain high yielding varieties of oilseeds.

  • Food safety practices allow India to continue exports of buffalo meat

    Even through the pandemic the export of buffalo meat has continued non-stop, thanks to the exporters following good safety practices stringently. India exports buffalo meat to middle east and south east Asian countries.

  • Almost 200 train journeys for Oxygen supply

    11,800 MT of Liquid Medical Oxygen has been distributed across the country through almost 200 train journeys.

  • A Van Dhan Vikas Kendra in Rajasthan

    Shrinath Van DhanVikas Kendra, in Mangwas, Rajasthan is preparing herbal gulal by employing 600 tribals. They go into the jungles and collect different flowers from there, which are then boiled in water. The coloured water is separated from it and cornflour is added to it followed by rosewater. The tribals carry out all of these activities which finally lead to herbal gulal, which they package attractively
