Odisha CM: Launches Smart Health Card under the BSKY Scheme
On 20th August (Friday), the Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik launched the Smart Health Card under the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana from Malkangiri. As per the notification, Smart Health Card is an initiative, which is taken by the government to change face of the healthcare services to people in Odisha & it is the first of its kind service in entire country.

IMD Predicts Heavy Rains in these States
Rainfall lashed in the several parts of national capital & providing the relief to people of Delhi from humidity. The Indian Meteorological Department predicted more rainfall near Delhi, NCR & the adjoining areas. The adjoining places include, Gurugram, Faridabad, Bahadurgarh, Ballabhgarh, Hindon AF Station, Indirapuram, Noida, Dadri, & Chhapraula etc.

India cuts base to import the tax on Crude & Refined Soya Oil
India has cut the base to import the taxes on crude & refined soya oil and the sunflower oil to 7.5% from 15% for 6 weeks; an order from the government showed as world’s biggest vegetable oil buyers tries to cool the near record high prices.

Centre gives Extra time to Metal Import
On 19th August (Thursday) the Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Custom issued that the business which imports the precious metals duty-free for making the jwellery & gold coins under an export of promotion scheme have got an extra time for meeting their export obligations. They will now get 6 months to meet the export obligation.

Consumer Sentiment Improves as Advertiser launches the Festival offers
Companies across the categories, especially electronic & jewelry said that the festive season of this year starting with Onam should be better than the year 2019, also given that the pandemic situation continuously improves. They admitted the consumer sentiments across the country are better compared to a year ago period when the job cuts & fear of infection were loomed large.
